Dezignatek has been operating in New Zealand since 2004 and initially focused on providing custom-made thermoformed profile doors, drawers and panels for the joinery industry.
The company’s services have expanded to include a custom cut and clash laser edging service for melamine, acrylic and laminate doors, drawers and panels.
Dezignatek is owned by New Zealand Panels Group with its production based at a state-of-the art production facility in East Tamaki that opened in 2017. Dezignatek provides high quality door finishing services with access to an extensive range of melamine, acrylic and HPL products from the Prime Panels and Bestwood brands.
The range of thermoform profiles and colours represent the best available from the international market and cover a range of designs and finishes.
Our environmental commitment
We continue to search for alternative products that meet the growing needs of our environmentally-conscious customers while creating processes in our manufacturing that are mindful of the environment for future generations. Our key initiatives include:-
- Using only HDF (high density fibreboard) substrate which is sustainably sourced within New Zealand and is moisture-resistant. It is also low formaldehyde with an EO rating.
- Reducing manufacturing waste and also finding new ways to re-use and recycle any that is generated
- Control of manufacturing waste such as separating waste for recycling.
- Re-using cover sheets and pallets from suppliers and customers and recycling packaging and plastic strapping.
- Reducing and developing new processes to minimise energy consumption.
- Finding new ways to reduce energy consumption
Our purpose-built plant in East Tamaki (designed to Greenstar *4) opened in January 2017 and features a number of initiatives that have significantly improved our environmental footprint.
