Businesses awarded the ecolabel in this category must ensure their product:

• Meets strict energy efficiency standards;
• Conserves resources and minimises waste (i.e. duplex printing, toner-saving modes);
• Utilises recycled materials and recyclable packaging;
• Is durable, easy to disassemble and repairable

Any used products or consumables must be also be collected/ able to be returned.

In addition to product specific requirements, companies with certified products must also track and report on their emissions, waste, water and energy usage.
